Android Market is also growing fast to give a tough competition to Apple’s App Store. Android is having the second largest market share in the mobile market, one behind iOS. The Android Gingerbread was first released in December 2010 and thereafter four minor revisions to Gingerbread were released. Meanwhile, Android 2.3.4, code named as Gingerbread is the latest version of the Android OS for smartphones by Google. And over 95,000 apps are specially designed for iPad. Unveiling iOS 5 at the WWDC 2011 in San Francisco, Apple proudly announced that their iOS market share is above 44% and the App Store now has over 425,000 applications.
